Scientists: A good lie detector is hard to find

In the not-too-distant future, police may request a warrant to search your brain. This was said only partly in jest by one of the panelists at a Feb. 2 symposium, "Is There Science Underlying Truth Detection?" sponsored by the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the McGovern Institute for Brain Research at MIT.
