Atlas IIAS Launch Postponded Once Again

After two delays tonight's (Aug 30) launch of an Atlas IIAS has been postponed 24 hours due to weather constraints. The new launch time for Tuesday August 31 will be 6:49 pm EDT.
The launch of an Atlas IIAS vehicle with a national security payload was postponed Aug 27 to allow for additional testing on batteries on the booster.
International Launch Services and rocket builder Lockheed Martin planed to make another attempt at 7:02 p.m. EDT Saturday Aug 28.
But Saturday launch of AC-167, an Atlas IIAS mission, was scrubbed due to an insufficient level of liquid oxygen remaining in the ground storage tanks to complete launch operations. An anomalous valve position allowed the release of liquid oxygen to the drainage area.
The storage tanks were refilled for a next launch attempt.
