Briefs: Verizon Business expands global operations

Verizon's information-technology solution unit officially opened offices in over 75 countries worldwide Monday.

Created as a result of the merger between Verizon Communications and MCI, Verizon Business will offer integrated wireless and wired network access for corporations, the company said in a news release.

The unit currently serves about 94 percent of the Fortune 500 companies, Verizon said.
