Briefs: James Carville to host sports show on XM

January 23, 2006

Democratic strategist James Carville will host a sports show on XM Satellite Radio together with Luke Russert, son of NBC journalist Tim Russert.

"This show will be another opportunity for me to engage in the back-and-forth debates on sports that, until now, Luke and I have limited to the stadium," Carville said in a news release. "I talk about sports the same way I talk about politics, so it's safe to assume that Luke will be wrong most of the time."

A political adviser to former President Bill Clinton, Carville has been a political commentator for CNN and worked on Sen. John Kerry's presidential campaign as well.
