Pancake waffle mix is recalled

July 11, 2007

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall Wednesday of "Market Basket Complete Pancake & Waffle Mix" because of undeclared milk.

Karlin Food Products Inc. of Northfield, Ill., initiated the voluntary recall of the 32-ounce red cartons of the mix after it was learned the labeling did not identify a dry milk ingredient, posing a threat to people allergic to milk products. The recalled product was distributed in Massachusetts and New Hampshire by DeMoulas Super Markets and Market Basket retail stores.

The product has Universal Product Code 49705-14852 on the bottom and an expiration date of 08-29-07 stamped on the top.

Consumers with questions can contact the company at 888-441-8330.
