Briefs: Jordan Telecom restructures, integrates

February 6, 2006

Jordan Telecom is reorganizing and integrating management of its telecom, data and wireless operations.

The move announced Monday provides a single administrative umbrella for Jordan Telecom and its MobileComm, e-Dimension and Wanadoo units that will streamline current operations and set the stage for regional expansion.

"By integrating these operations under a single management structure, we are bringing the strengths and capabilities of each of our four operating companies into a single, one-stop-shop operator," said CEO Laurent Mialet. "Together with this, Jordan Telecom Group will expand its portfolio of services in Jordan and also throughout the Middle East region."

The company said the reorganization was necessary to meet growing demand for advanced telecom services from the Jordanian business community.
