'Death by Chocolate' cookies are recalled
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall of "Death by Chocolate" cookies due to the undeclared presence of walnuts.
Bella Cucina Inc. of Atlanta said the presence of walnuts presents a potential health risk for people who are allergic to them.
The cookies were sold at stores in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Utah, Virginia. Washington, D.C., and Victoria, British Columbia.
The Death by Chocolate cookies were sold in 6-ounce bags with a UPC of 193 00020.
