Briefs: CNN, MSNBC beating Fox News on Web

February 15, 2006

While Fox News continues to lead the cable-news ratings battle, both CNN and MSNBC have an advantage on Fox online.

According to BusinessWeek, both MSNBC and CNN have been beating Fox News in Neilson online ratings.

Neilson's Net Tracker says Fox News's site drew about 200 million page views in the month of January. It credited CNN and MSNBC each with about 750 million page views.

CNN told the New York Observer that in January its Web site had 1,313 million page views. Fox News similarly estimated that their actual page view total was about double what Neilson said.
