Ground beef recalled in Utah and Nevada
The U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall of approximately 11,250 pounds of possible contaminated ground beef products.
Stone Meats Inc. of Pleasant View, Utah, initiated the voluntary recall because the ground beef products that were distributed in Utah and Nevada might contain pieces of metal.
Being recalled were 5-pound, 73 percent lean-27 percent fat packages of ground beef with a "sell-by" date of "09/19/07" and codes "EST#6214 7," "EST#6214 8," "EST#6214 9," or "EST#6214 10."
