Yak offers unlimited international VoIP

February 22, 2006

Yak Communications is offering an unlimited international calling plan for its Voice over Internet Protocol telephone customers.

The yakUnlimited plan allows customers to pick a North American phone number to be used to place or receive calls involving cell or analog phones anywhere in the world. The service costs $20 and includes voicemail and other calling services.

"This application offers international subscribers access to a high quality and very inexpensive North American dial-tone, enabling subscribers to benefit from our extensive features ... and ultra competitive international rates," said Yak Chief Executive Officer Charles Zwebner.

Yak said it was working on a "soft" telephone to go along with the service, which will be downloaded into a PC and installed on the customer's Web site.
