(AP) -- The ultrahigh-speed Internet2 network just got 10 times faster, partly in anticipation of rising demand for capacity after the world's largest particle collider opens near Geneva next year.

This data transfer rate is high enough to provide so called "gestalt" level VR which has been estimated to required 5Gb/s. This network can already handle double that, and is about to go up to 20 times that bandwidth. Can you imagine the games we'll be able to play in that cyberspace??
