Briefs: Pegasus acquires home wireless company

March 10, 2006

Pegasus Wireless has agreed to acquire maccontrol, a Florida firm that manufactures a remote control and connector for the wireless home of the future.

The deal adds hardware to Pegasus' line of solutions that link together home computers and entertainment systems through wireless connections.

"This is an extremely exciting way for Pegasus to begin branching out into the retail market," said Pegasus President Jasper Knabb.

Pegasus called the setup of its connection particularly user friendly, and the addition of maccontrol devices will make it even easier.

"maccontrol is extremely in tune with what we at Pegasus are looking to accomplish with this technology," Knabb added.
