Briefs: Kosovo police on Motorola broadband
Motorola's wireless broadband platform will be deployed the police force in Kosovo, the mobile group said.
The company said that its encrypted Voice over Internet Protocol using the canopy wireless system will be deployed by the Kosovo Police Service as well as the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo.
Together with subcontractors NETRA Macedonia and InterAdria Kosovo, Motorola has installed and linked over 20 police stations across Kosovo.
"Wireless communication is an essential and critical tool for the KPS and UNMIK police. The KPS/UNMIK project underlines Motorola's commitment to provide integrated solutions to public safety," Ron Landenberg, manager of communication systems operation at the company, said in a news release.
