Canada recalls Bahay-Kubo, Ongpin products

February 28, 2008

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning people with allergies to wheat or soy not to consume certain Bahay-Kubo and Ongpin meat products.

The CFIA said Bahay-Kubo chicken and pork meat loaf, bola steamed bun with pork or chicken ball, and Ongpin Shanghai-style pork spring roll products might contain undeclared wheat or soy products, posing a health risk to people allergic to such ingredients.

The recalled products were distributed across Ontario by the manufacturer, the Gardena Food Corp. of Scarborough, Ontario.
