An Afghan worker of a mobile phone company tower is seen near the burned machine after it was attacked by Taliban militants in the city of Kandahar province, south of Kabul, Afghanistan on March 19, 2008. About 10 towers have been attacked since then -- seven of them seriously -- causing almost US$2 million in damages, the telecom ministry said. (AP) -- Taliban attacks on telecom towers have prompted cell phone companies to shut down service across southern Afghanistan at night, angering a quarter million customers who have no other telephones.

Gee, perhaps the residents will figure out that the Taliban is EVIL!
Perhaps residents will stop supporting the Taliban.
Perhaps residents will figure out that western thinking, and the resulting technology, isn't so bad after all.
Perhaps pigs will fly - into Pakistan "tribal regions" lets hope.

Maybe the invading armies will get out of where they're not wanted and stop their campaign of murder and torture. It looks like the USAians have ruined their economy chasing shadows so they'll have to do another vietnam on it, declare victory and chicken out.
