Navajo Nation to Lose Internet Signal

(AP) -- The thousands of Navajo Nation residents who rely on the Internet to work, study and communicate across their 27,000-square-mile reservation will be out of luck Monday, if their service provider is shuttered as planned.

    Sounds like a mess but this isn't the kind of stuff I come to PhysOrg to read about. It's obviously not science; I'm not even sure it's technology. It sounds like a billing dispute.

    Here is the technology part ...even though satellite Internet technology is costly, slow and unreliable. "

    Guess Hughes should stop advertising their sat service. I live in a rural area and my "neighbor" has satellite - they're very happy with it.
