This photo released by Centro de Estudios Cientificos, shows the Cachet lake partially dried, in Aysen, southern Chile, Monday, April 7, 2008. The lake was dried up during three days (April 6-8) after the melting of neighboring Colonia glacier filled the lake and increased pressure on the ice sheet. The water bored a 5-mile tunnel through the glacier and finally emptied into the Baker River on April 6, according to glacier scientist Gino Cassasa. The lake was nearly full again by late Wednesday, Cassasa said. (AP Photo/Centro de Estudios Científicos)

(AP) -- Melting ice in southern Chile caused a glacial lake to swell and then empty suddenly, sending a "tsunami" rolling through a river, a scientist said Thursday. No one was injured in the remote region.

Being as Global temperatures have not risen in the past 10yrs and fell in the last year, this must be LOCAL not global warming. Also, much of the Southern Hemisphear had the coldest summer for years and in some places the coldest on record.
A similar lake had this happen because of increased cold. The glacier advanced ACROSS the lake causing the level to rise, then broke under the pressure. In warmer times it stopped short of crossing the lake.
