Microsoft tests subscription pricing for Office

So what's the breakeven point between the subscription and purchase versions? If you're going to keep a version for 10 years (Office 97 is still good!) then obviously you want to buy. But if you intend on replacing constantly, then a subscription model may be worth it.

m$ft is scared of Google's free service, they know all too well that their bloated crap software is pissing lots of people off and the moment a viable alternative arrives there will be a massive exodus of office users.
