awesome! this marks a new branch of scientific exploration whereby big science enables the swarm intelligence of small scientists. this project is truly groundbreaking and not getting enough of the promotion it deserves. I hope it's success, and the technology it uses, can be offered freely to help other fields of science copy this model ( when relevant).

Thank the gods that stars do not have privacy rights! Zevkirsh is correct that this technology needs to be copied into other fields, and in particular MEDICINE!

Wouldn't it be great if we could bring together the x-ray images and brain scans and MRIs, etc, of every know patient and dip into their medical history and outcome all through a PC screen. Imagine what we'd learn about diseases and cures and the functioning of the human body. Alas... we cannot computerize patient records because of near insane paranoia about personal privacy. As one who has overcome cancer, kidney blockages, high blood pressure, heart failure and bypass surgery, I REALLY wish all those medical records (going back 42 of my 61 years) were on-line and available for my doctors to review!

I'd gladly risk my privacy to help even just one sick individual learn from what happened to me.

This software is great... zoom in on the planets and change the view time settings to x10000 and watch the moons go around the planets. Bloody good job Microsoft.
