68 pct. of young drivers killed at night unbuckled

(AP) -- More than two-thirds of young drivers and passengers killed in nighttime car crashes aren't wearing seat belts - deadly proof of what can happen when young people don't heed parents' pleas and authorities' threats to "click it."

So in 32% of fatalities at night people were wearing seatbelts, and 43% during the day for teens who generally don't wear seatbelts?

That's not saying much for seatbelts. I thought they were safer than that. I was in a pretty serious accident with mine on and I walked away with some minor confusion. You can pretty much demolish a car and be OK if your belted in... these numbers are suprising.
