MDs urged to quit prostate screens in elderly men

(AP) -- Doctors should stop routine prostate cancer screening of men over 75 because there is more evidence of harm than benefit, a federal task force advised Monday in a new blow to a much scrutinized medical test.

What type of "screening" are we talking about? If I hadn't "accidently" had a PSA test when I wasn't due for one, I'd be dead now. My Dr found a highly virulent form of prostate cancer and I had the surgery. That was 4 years ago and I'm not that old. Guys, get the test before you are 50.
