(AP) -- Booger is back. An American woman received five puppies Tuesday that were cloned from her beloved late pitbull, becoming the inaugural customer of a South Korean company that says it is the world's first successful commercial canine cloning service.

    Why camels? Wouldn't it make more sense from a business perspective to clone horses? Seems there's already a pretty big industry that would love to clone some world-class racing horses or lipizzaner stallions.

    or here's an idea...instead of clonging animals that are already in abundance...how about cloning some species that are dying out from extinction due to human interference. just a thought...

    Start cloning people already! You could learn a lot about yourself from a clone.

    I can't believe that made 5 of him though. They better not split those dogs up. Maybe they can link up like Voltron!

    partly because it's prohibitively expensive compared to live breeding, and doesn't do a whit for the species' genetic diversity. i admit it's tantalizing to imagine that simple replication, animal by animal, will save species; but the biggest problems involve maintaining and protecting viable wild habitat.
