New Katrina death tally: Half of victims 75 and up

(AP) -- As New Orleans residents warily track another threatening storm, a new report presents the clearest picture yet of deaths from Katrina in Louisiana. Of the nearly 1,000 who died, almost half were 75 or older, according to researchers.

    They're likely to be neither black nor poor.
    These groups exhibit higher mortality rates than the national average. This is for reasons of education, eating habits, fitness and health.
    ALL OF WHICH I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR EXCEPT MY OWN PERSON!!! Let's be clear I blame the individual for their lack of "fitness to survive".
