ChaCha service raises fears of cheating via cell phone

A new cell-phone service that promises to give free answers to virtually any question within minutes has some academics worried that it will be yet another device to help students cheat.

    I don't really see how that is cheating. If it an answer to a question is 30 seconds away then isn't that good enough? Why do you need that knowledge to begin with?

    Teaching should be more than regurgitating trivial facts. They should be tested on whether they understand the subject matter, and be asked to apply it to a real world situation.

    If anyone asks me the square root of 323, I'll grab a calculator, just like anyone else. I have learned the knowledge of how to obtain the answer in the most efficient way possible.
