Experts warn species in peril from climate change
October 1, 2008 By BRIAN SKOLOFF , Associated Press Writer(AP) -- Climate change threatens to kill off up to a third of the planet's species by the end of the century if urgent action isn't taken to restore fragile ecosystems, protect endangered animals and manage growth, scientists warned Wednesday as a wildlife summit opened.

"Wildlife pathways" at lease through urban areas have not been shown to work well. For some reason the animals don't cooperate by using the pathways...- report abuse

I'd like to know where the figure "1/3 of all species" comes from and what organisms it includes. Especially considering that 3/4 of the planet's non-single celled species are insects.- report abuse
