Insignia Launches Two New GPS Devices

Insignia has two new GPS devices available to the consumer; the 4.3-inch NS-CNV20 and the 3.5-inch NS-CNV10. Both models have a bright LCD screen and a slim profile that allows you to place it in your shirt pocket or mount on the dashboard.

The NS-CNV20 offers Bluetooth functionality, and both models connect to the Internet by way of a cellular modem, which gives you instant access to a number of services, such as real-time traffic updates and Google Local Search.

Map updates are accomplished with Geek Squad´s Map Update Service. You can get free quarterly map updates from Geek Squad for the first year from the purchase date.

Another handy little feature is the integration into Google Maps, which is free for the first year. You can look up a route or address on Google Maps from your PC and send the information to your GPS device. This is a cool feature that lets you plan trips from your PC and then forward to your GPS device.

The NS-CNV20 and NS-CNV10 is a pair of GPS devices that can save you time and money driving around looking for POI (points of interest) or just finding your way to a store or someone´s house.

With traffic updates, both GPS devices will keep you from getting stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic, while the Google Local Search will help you pinpoint that hard-to-find place as you´re driving around.

Whatever your driving habits are, the NS-CNV20 and NS-CNV10 can get you where you need to be in the least amount of time. It can also reduce your gasoline consumption by routing you around traffic congestion.

The NS-CNV20 sells for $499 and has built-in Bluetooth functionality, but if that´s more than you need, you can save a $100 and opt for the NS-CNV10 that sells for $399. Both to go on sale October 19th.
