'Flying syringe' mosquitos, other ideas get Gates funding

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation awarded 100,000 dollars each on Wednesday to scientists in 22 countries including funding for a Japanese proposal to turn mosquitos into "flying syringes" delivering vaccines.

    Wouldn't these mosquitos also pick up all kinds of other diseases when they bite other creatures?

    The one thing I'd worry about is the level of toxins in the vaccines. Already people blame vaccines for sometimes causing illness, so getting injected with a vaccine ten times a day might not be such a good idea.
