'Flying syringe' mosquitos, other ideas get Gates funding
October 22nd, 2008The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation awarded 100,000 dollars each on Wednesday to scientists in 22 countries including funding for a Japanese proposal to turn mosquitos into "flying syringes" delivering vaccines.

Wouldn't these mosquitos also pick up all kinds of other diseases when they bite other creatures?- flag

The one thing I'd worry about is the level of toxins in the vaccines. Already people blame vaccines for sometimes causing illness, so getting injected with a vaccine ten times a day might not be such a good idea.- flag
