Witnesses: Large meteor streaks across Canada sky
November 23rd, 2008(AP) -- Scientists say they hope to find remnants of a meteor that brilliantly lit up the sky before falling to earth in western Canada.

There's a great article & comments (w-video links) over at Universe Today http://www.univer...-canada/ .Last I'd heard, scientists are combing the region looking for possible meteorite fragments from this event. And no, this was not the 'lost' tool bag from the Shuttle STS-126 mission reentering the atmosphere. It is still being tracked in orbit and probably will completely burn up when it does reenter, creating a brilliant fireball (see related story at Universe Today http://www.univer...video/).- flag
