Don't worry, it'll be another Carter administration. Too busy trying to look like a good guy to get anything done.

I wonder if anyone is up for comparing the harmful emmisions from our dependance on forign oil versus the emmisions from outsourcing our manufacturing to countries like Mexico and China with lowered environmental regulations. It just seams ironic that we're so worried about the environmental impact of the US, but by sending our major manufacturing to other contries we are essentially carbon trading at a huge loss to ourselves.

"I look forward to being part of the president-elect's team, and the first thing I will do is to raise the gasoline tax by $1.50 per gallon. Don't complain, it is for the children," the acclaimed scientist said.

I'm getting so sick of this "for the children" argument. If you hamstring the income comming into the household through ridiculous taxation then it's not really for the children now is it. It's for the policy makers.
