(PhysOrg.com) -- HP has launched their 10.2 inch netbook in Europe yesterday. The Compaq Mini incorporates a 1.6 GHz processor using an Intel Atom CPU along with an GMA950 graphics processor, with 1 GB of RAM.

Other features of the Mini 700 Netbook include:

- 1024x600 resolution display
- Wi-Fi module
- Bluetooth
- 2-in-1 memory card reader
- Ethernet jack
- Two USB 2.0 ports
- HSDPA network access
- Integrated webcam and microphone
- 1.8-inch, 60GB, 4,200RPM hard disk drive
- Pre-loaded with Windows XP home

Sound is provided by two Altec Lansing speakers. The Mini 700 Netbook is powered from a 3-cell lithium-polymer battery.

The HP Mini 1000 is currently available in the US and its size is relatively close to the Compaq Mini 700 with a 10.2-inch screen of the same resolution. It uses the same Atom CPU, but offers 8GB or 16GB solid state drives in addition to the 60GB hard drive.
