    BluRay discs are not going to last long unless they can be stored on the HDD - and the DRM stops that. The other big sector that will squeeze BluRay is the (legal) merger of Net and TV. Why buy a disc when you can download? At the other end of the scale we have PDAs and smartphones. Here ordinary DVDs are over specified. In the end BluRay discs will be for "keeper" blockbusters only. Unless the price drops and DRM is scrapped. Happened to music...
