No more water shortage...of course if we desperately need this water in the future then we will just have to go get it.

And so the wild mars north pole water rush would be on...or the corrupt corporate control of mars water would be on...or the country or countries first on mars stakes a claim and starts a mars water war...maybe a mix of the these...take your pick....

;) But I assume neither of these since by that time we will have long figured out efficient ways to take fresh water from the ocean and the need to drink mars water would just be a marketing/business venture.

Morpheus, I will not discount these possibilities, knowing what I know, and being a devout c2c fan, but you would be much better received if you would learn to spell and stop being such an asshole. You seriously sound like you are constantly typing drunk and alone. Even if you are right on all counts, you don't really want to be that guy, do you? lighten up brethren.

This water is ice so it will take energy first to mine it, then to turn it into usable liquid water. Then even more energy if you want to split the oxygen and hydrogen into rocket fuel. So it doesn't come cost free.
