Japanese researchers envisage nicotine-free tobacco
January 22, 2009Japanese researchers said Thursday they had identified a gene that transports nicotine through tobacco plants, a discovery that could pave the way to cigarettes free of the carcinogen.

nicotine is not considered to be carcinogenic.
it will still lead to 'nicotine-free' cancer
