Motorola's green phone has a great price

The Moto W233 Renew

At least one of Motorola's new phones will appeal to consumers searching for "green" products.

The Moto W233 Renew is housed in plastic made from recycled water bottles. Is it a great phone? I can't say yet, but I can tell you this: It is affordable. The Renew is on sale at T-Mobile online for $10 with a two-year contract.

Made from recycled plastics, the Renew is a exclusive. It offers nine-hours of talk time (better than average) to reduce the need to charge the phone.

Also, the phone's packaging is made from recycled materials. The packaging even includes a pre-paid envelope so buyers can return their old phone for recycling. (That's a solid idea for every phone maker, frankly.)

I haven't held this phone, so I can't speak about its performance. But if you're looking for a basic at a nice price -- the Renew includes a music player, too -- take a look.

Wow... 10$ with a two year contract? And what contracts do they offer??? $30/month? so... this phoneis now worth $730??

    I think not.

What a cheap attempt at a weak advert!

I work for a cell phone company, and Motorola phones are generally very good in quality, but have rather steep pricing. This is the kind of phone that should sell pretty good if it proves durable and as good as other Motorola offerings.

I didn't know about it... now I do. That constitutes "news" as far as I can tell. What exactly is your problem?
