AUCKLAND, New Zealand, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- New Zealand's Telecom Mobile said Monday it will work with Microsoft to develop mobile services specifically designed for businesses.

"Integrating mobile devices and applications is the key to achieving business mobility. Our goal is to make it easier for businesses that can benefit most from the advances in mobility solutions to have easy access to world-class mobility solutions that are simple and easy to use," Kevin Kendrick, the New Zealand telecommunications group's general manager, said in a news release. The company pointed out that businesses can make more use of existing mobile technologies to boost productivity.

"Telecom Mobile's 'Work Anywhere' strategy seamlessly integrates with Microsoft's 'Outlook Anywhere' strategy. As such, this initiative is a logical step between two organisations that have a deep history of collaboration and a connection with the great majority of New Zealand's businesses," stated Microsoft's senior vice president for mobile and embedded devices division, Pieter Knook.
