Digital Logic launches new CPU
Computer-solution group Digital-Logic Friday launched a central processing unit that is the smallest of its class.
The SM915 is 115 millimeters by 70 millimeters and offers more memory and graphic performance, the Swiss company said.
The module is based on the i915GM chip and provides all standard personal computer interfaces, Digital-Logic said.
The product "not only reduces design effort and development costs, but can also drastically reduce time-to-market. They are also the ideal solution whenever customer-specific electronics are required or have been specified, and the available space and ambient conditions do not permit the usage of a conventional embedded PC board," the company said in a news release.
