Briefs: Phone-number inquiries going down
Britain's Office of Communications and ICSTIS reported on the accuracy of directory enquiries.
The Independent Committee for the Supervision of Standards of the Telephone Information Services is a British industry-funded regulatory body for all premium rate charged telecommunications services, and Ofcom reported that general accuracy of the service improved 95 percent from a year ago, but prices for the service had increased too.
At the same time, the over 2,000 users surveyed said they use the phone directory service less frequently as they either use a phone book or the Internet to look up numbers.
