Dell laptop designed for mobile games

XPS M1710
Dell introduced a new high-performance laptop Tuesday designed primarily for use by game enthusiasts.
The XPS M1710 is powered by Intel Core Duo processors and an NVIDIA 512 MB GeForce graphics processor and is robust enough to allow users to play 3-D games while simultaneously performing other demanding tasks such as recording music or running a virus scan.

Dell said the unit weighs in at less than 9 pounds and comes in a jazzy color choice of Metallic Black or Formula Red. To further customize the look, each XPS M1710 notebook features an illuminated XPS touchpad and adjustable 16-color perimeter lighting.

The XPS M1710 features a brighter screen, and the GeForce Go 7900 GTX processor provides memory from 512 megabytes up to 4 gigabytes. It runs on Windows XP Media Center 2005 and retails worldwide starting at $2,600.
