Panasonic to show TV at Stock Exchange
A Panasonic employee presents a huge 103-inch plasma TV screen
Panasonic Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Yoshi Yamada will be presenting the television, which stands 103 inches, the equivalent to four 50-inch panels in size.
The company hopes that the showcase will interest more consumers in HD-TV, as the company continues to invest in the plasma HD-TV market which is expected to top 25 million units in 2010.
"With Panasonic plasma televisions consistently rated as the industry's best, consumers are looking to us as the standard in plasma technology," said Andrew Nelkin, vice president of Panasonic's Display Group. "As the demand for larger-screen, high picture quality TVs grows around the world, the new 103-inch plasma answers a need for those looking for the ultimate home viewing experience."
The super-large screen plasma TVs will be available to consumers for the Christmas season, the company said.
