In Brief: Vodafone eyeing U.K. ISP Tiscali?

Reports that mobile-phone company Vodafone was courting British Internet service provider Tiscali remained unconfirmed Monday.

British media reports over the weekend said Vodafone had identified Tiscali as a potential opening into the broadband arena, but Vodafone dismissed the reports as speculation.

Vodafone is seen as increasingly anxious to get into broadband since rival mobile provider Orange announced plans to offer residential broadband through Wanadoo.
