Comptel to acquire EDB Telecom Europe ops
Finland's Comptel is moving to acquire the European operations of EDB Telecom in a deal seen as enhancing Comptel's revenue stream.
An item from NewsRoom Finland Monday said Comptel, which produces telecom software, expects the cash deal will boost its 2005 net sales revenue 5 percent to 8 percent over last year with another revenue increase in 2006.
About 160 EDB employees will be affected by the sale and will be transferred to Comptel's payroll.
