In Brief: BellSouth guarantees faster installation

May 8, 2006

BellSouth will offer guaranteed faster installations of business broadband services.

The carrier's new installation guarantee states that BellSouth will complete professional install orders for FastAccess Business DSL service within five business days of the customer placing the order and includes a credit guarantee equivalent to three days of monthly recurring charges.

"Each day without a data connection could mean lost revenue and profits for our business customers," said Joey Schultz, vice president of marketing at BellSouth Retail Markets. "This is why we are offering a service guarantee that reassures our customers that their service will be connected quickly."
