BellSouth ups e-mail storage to 250MB

October 3rd, 2005

BellSouth is expanding its broadband e-mail storage capacity to 250 megabytes without any added cost to their customers.

Both residential and small-business subscribers to the FastAccess and DSL Xtreme service will benefit from the upgrade, which Bell said amounts to about 10 times the old storage capacity.

BellSouth Vice President Pam Jones said the added capacity will accommodate growing volumes of attachments, videos and photos that subscribers need to save.

BellSouth has been making a number of customer-oriented upgrades to its broadband service, including custom e-mail accounts, video-chat capabilities and improved virus security.
