New speech software Bluetooth compatible

October 12, 2005

Fonix has issued new speech interface software for Pocket PC Phone Edition that is compatible with Bluetooth headsets.

Fonix said Wednesday that the bottom line for consumers is that Bluetooth users will be able to eliminate the need to press buttons on their wireless phones when they want to make a call.

"Not only does Fonix software make using a mobile phone more convenient, but it also makes it safer to use a phone in the car," explained Fonix Vice President Tim Hong.

Fonix VoiceDial 2.1 is available for Pocket PC Phone Edition devices running Windows Mobile 5.0, such as i-mate JASJAR and Orange SPV M5000.
