October 14, 2005 T-Mobile unveils new Sidekick II models

The DigitalLife tech show in New York kicked off Friday with the debut of two new versions of its Sidekick II wireless communications device.

The Mister Cartoon and Juicy Couture editions of the Sidekick go on sale to the youth market in selected U.S. cities Oct. 24

"We are excited to partner with Juicy Couture and Mister Cartoon, who are helping us continue the tradition of combining unique and intricately designed devices with T-Mobile's reliable, nationwide service," said T-Mobile's Michael Gallelli.

Along with the device's instant-messaging and download capabilities, the new versions offer a list of accessories that include fashionable carrying cases, charms and wristlets to complete the look.
