Microsoft, of Redmond, Wash., Thursday released the second beta version of Windows Media Player 11.

The company said the new version fixes bugs present in the prior release and features performance enhancements with Windows Media Connect functionality integrated into the player, BetaNews reported.

Microsoft said eMusic, VidZone and Music Giants stores were added to the release -- bringing the player's total to 14 -- and further shopping outlets are expected to be added before the final release of the player.
