Microsoft offers digital media organizer
November 2, 2005Microsoft launched Tuesday a digital photo and video organization tool together with Pinnacle Systems.
The software giant said that the Digital Image Suite 2006 with Pinnacle Studio will allow even basic-level computer users to improve storing and sharing their digital media.
"Consumers are looking to do more with their photos and home movies. They want editing solutions to create DVDs, professional-looking photos and movies without the technical jargon or complex interfaces of professional-level software," Christopher Chute, senior analyst with research group IDC, said in a news release.
"Microsoft recognizes the growing demand for easy-to-use digital photo- and video-editing software that helps consumers achieve professional-looking results," stated AnnMarie Thomas, marketing manager for the home and retail division at Microsoft.
The joint product with the Mountain View, Calif.-based home video editing company sells for $130.
