Medical journal to be re-launched

September 20, 2006

U.S. publisher John Wiley & Sons Inc. has signed an agreement with the Mount Sinai School of Medicine to publish the Mount Sinai Journal of Medicine.

Wiley said it will re-launch the journal in January with a new design and editorial focus.

Published continuously since 1934 by The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, the Mount Sinai Journal of Medicine is issued six times a year and features clinical articles from all medical disciplines.

Wiley will re-launch the journal as the Mount Sinai Journal of Medicine: A Journal of Translational and Personalized Medicine. The publication will feature articles on the evolving nature of clinical care; its linkage with bio-medical research; and resulting opportunities for enhanced patient outcomes.

The new editorial focus will reflect the growing importance of translational and personalized medicine, Wiley said.
