Briefs: Ericsson upgrades Vodafone's Tokyo network
Ericsson said Friday it has succeeded in updating Vodafone's high-speed network in Tokyo.
The Swedish mobile group is providing the British carrier's high-speed downlink packet access network in central Tokyo. The two companies have been working together to develop HSDPA equipment since September 2004, Ericsson said in a news release.
The companies' latest success will allow some of Vodafone's Japanese customers to bolster their download and connectivity rates, Ericsson said.
