Briefs: TI unveils new video interface switches
Texas Instruments Thursday unveiled two new video switches for high-definition multimedia interface and digital video interface.
The devices are expected to reduce space and cost for consumer products such as digital televisions, audio-video receivers and computer components.
TI said the three-port TMDS341 supports four Transition Minimized Differential Signaling channels with a signal rate up to 1.65 gigabits per second per channel.
The TS3DV520 five-channel differential digital video switch has a wide 2.4 Gbps bandwidth that will allow users to video applications in which signals need to be switched between two output sources and a single receiver.
